Captain Three Kidneys – With Jay Wilburn

I am a writer of speculative fiction, horror, science fiction, fantasy, steampunk, and more. I have ghostwritten a wide range of genre including nonfiction articles and books as well. My work has appeared in Best Horror of the Year volume 5 and many other anthologies. My novels include Loose Ends, Time Eaters, Hollywood Hellmouth, and the Dead Song dodecology. We have released a musical soundtrack, The Sound May Suffer, with each of the Dead Song books.

Perseverance through your toughest times. Believing your own myth. Betting on yourself. Everything will be okay even when it’s not. It’s never too late to hope.

Golden Nuggets of Wisdom:

Every once in a while, you should take a big gamble on yourself and your dreams. The worst that can happen is that you fail miserably and have to start over, but that can happen to you even when you never follow your dreams.

Use thankfulness as a trick to stay positive. At your darkest times, find something to be thankful for. Gratitude leaves less room for negative thoughts. It sets you up to celebrate little victories and use those to pull yourself up to the next victory.
